Durham University has one Commonwealth Shared Scholarship to award to a high-calibre international student from a Commonwealth developing nation for taught Masters courses in 2011/12.

Study Subject: Advanced Software Engineering, Communications Engineering, Development Anthropology, Hazard Risk, International Studies, International Trade Commercial Law, Internet Systems E-Business, Medical Anthropology, New Renewable Energy, Software Engineering Management and Social Work Studies.

Scholarship Description:A Commonwealth Shared Scholarship is tenable for one year (12 months) and provides the award-holder with a waiver of their tuition fees, a total maintenance grant of £9,936 and allowances to meet the costs of their travel to and from the UK, printing of their thesis and study travel.

To be eligible for this scholarship candidates must meet the Association of Commonwealth’s Universities eligibility criteria.

To be considered for a Commonwealth Shared Scholarship candidates must complete and submit an online postgraduate application form. When completing the application form candidates must indicate that you wish to be considered for a Commonwealth Shared Scholarship in response to the questions posed about how you plan to finance your studies.

If you have already submitted your online application form, but did not state that you wished to be considered for a Commonwealth Shared Scholarship you must contact your prospective department to notify them of your interest.
